Prof. Francis Olukayode Bamiro
Prof. Francis Olukayode Bamiro attended Molusi College, Ijebu-Igbo for his secondary school education (WASC and HSC). He had his B.Sc. (Petrochemicals and Hydrocarbon Chemistry) at the University of Manchester, England and his Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow U.K.

He is a Professor of Chemistry of the University of Agriculture Abeokuta (UNAAB) Ogun State. He held so many posts in UNAAB, some of which are – Head of Department, Dean of the College, Director of Equipment and Maintenance Centre and Director of Research & Development Centre.

Prof.F.O. Bamiro is a visiting Professor to many Universities within and outside the country e.g.

  • University of Strathclyde Glasgow, UK

  • He is presently the dean of faculty of Applied Sciences at KolaDaisi University Ibadan, Oyo State.

    He is a Research Fellow to several Universities/Reseach Institutes abroad e.g. University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, University of Venezuela, South America, University of Dresden, Germany.

    Prof. F.O. Bamiro is a member of the Federal Government of Nigeria Intellectual Property and technology Transfer Program Committee that had Study Tour to Oxford University, Kings College London, University of Cambridge and University of Sussex all in UK – February, 2007.

    Prof.F.O Bamiro has many Technical Papers in Reseach Development in reputable journals in Africa, Europe and America.

    He developed the method of analysis of 55-60 elements at a time using Inductively Coupled Plasma atomic emission spectrometry (ICPAES). This is acknowledged all over the world as the best method of multi-element analysis up till now without inference.

    He is a chartered chemist of Britain and Chemical society of Nigeria.

    Prof. F.O. Bamiro is happily married. The marriage is blessed with loving and caring children and grandchildren.

    Dr. Olaniyi Rasheed
    RASHEED O. OLANIYI is a Reader/Associate Professor in the Department of History and Diplomatic Studies, KolaDaisi University, Ibadan Nigeria. He is on Sabbatical from the University of Ibadan where he served as the Sub-Dean (Postgraduate) Faculty of Arts and Coordinator, Leadership and Governance Programme, Centre for Sustainable Development (August 2014 – July 2017). He earned his PhD from Bayero University, Kano, Nigeria in 2004. He is the author of Diaspora Is Not Like Home: A Social and Economic History of Yoruba in Kano, 1912-1999 (Muenchen, Germany: Lincom Europa, 2008); Community Vigilantes in Metropolitan Kano, 1985-2005 (IFRA Ibadan, 2005) and History for Senior Secondary Schools (Ibadan: Bounty Press, 2017).

    Olaniyi has presented several academic papers at international conferences and held fellowships in East, Central, West, North and Southern Africa; Europe and Asia. In the summer of 2008, he was a Visiting Scholar of African History at the Kennesaw State University, Georgia, USA. He was Visiting Scholar of African History, Pan African University (PAUWES), Tlemcen, Algeria, 2015 and 2017. Since 2005, he has taught and supervised many undergraduate and postgraduate students. Olaniyi has contributed chapters in books and articles in journals on urbanisation, migration, diaspora, forced labour, human trafficking and civil society movement.
