Prof. Francis Olukayode Bamiro
Prof. Francis Olukayode Bamiro attended Molusi College, Ijebu-Igbo for his secondary school education (WASC and HSC). He had his B.Sc. (Petrochemicals and Hydrocarbon Chemistry) at the University of Manchester, England and his Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow U.K.
He is a Professor of Chemistry of the University of Agriculture Abeokuta (UNAAB) Ogun State. He held so many posts in UNAAB, some of which are – Head of Department, Dean of the College, Director of Equipment and Maintenance Centre and Director of Research & Development Centre.
Prof.F.O. Bamiro is a visiting Professor to many Universities within and outside the country e.g.
He is presently the dean of faculty of Applied Sciences at KolaDaisi University Ibadan, Oyo State.
He is a Research Fellow to several Universities/Reseach Institutes abroad e.g. University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, University of Venezuela, South America, University of Dresden, Germany.
Prof. F.O. Bamiro is a member of the Federal Government of Nigeria Intellectual Property and technology Transfer Program Committee that had Study Tour to Oxford University, Kings College London, University of Cambridge and University of Sussex all in UK – February, 2007.
Prof.F.O Bamiro has many Technical Papers in Reseach Development in reputable journals in Africa, Europe and America.
He developed the method of analysis of 55-60 elements at a time using Inductively Coupled Plasma atomic emission spectrometry (ICPAES). This is acknowledged all over the world as the best method of multi-element analysis up till now without inference.
He is a chartered chemist of Britain and Chemical society of Nigeria.
Prof. F.O. Bamiro is happily married. The marriage is blessed with loving and caring children and grandchildren.
