Dr. Sekinat Kola-Aderoju

Dr. Sekinat Adejoke Kola-Aderoju is a Senior Lecturer and the Acting Head, Department of History and Diplomatic Studies, KolaDaisi University, Ibadan. She has been lecturing on the programme of Ekiti State University Degree since 2000, A Co-Ordinator of Degree programme between 2012 – 2014.

She was a former Director, Centre for Management Information System EACOED 2014 – 2018 and Principal on secondment to EACOED Model High School in 2018.

She obtained her First and Master’s Degrees from University of Ilorin and University of Ibadan respectively.

She had a Ph.D.(History) specialising on Political-Economy of Development in History from University of Ilorin.

Her research areas are Political, Economic, Diplomatic and Development History.  She has a number of articles on gender and indigenous technological development.

She was a recipient of Tet fund Travel Grant in 2014 to attend a Conference in Nairobi, Kenya and aco- Author of a Tet fund book project in 2015.

She was the Academic Board representative to the 13th Governing Council of Emmanuel Alayande College of Education in February 2018.

She delivered the Eminent Personality Lecture in honour of Professor R. O. Lasisi organised by NAOS, Unilorin Branch

She has served as a resource person on a number of occasions reflecting her ability for oratory, public speaking and historical analyses and diplomatic debates
