KDU Faculty of Law holds maiden lecture
The Faculty of Law KolaDaisi University Ibadan held the Maiden Edition of her Faculty Lecture Series titled "Artificial Intelligence and the Law" on April 17 2024 at 11:00am. The Guest Lecturer was Mr. Oluseun Abimbola SAN (Partner, Prime Solicitors Ibadan and the former Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice Oyo State). The Learned Silk offered scholarly and professional views on how artificial intelligence (AI) is a veritable tool for legal research and services. He amongst other things captured how the use of AI could greatly assist in legal and academic research and ensure the speedy dispensation of justice in Nigeria by judges. He also stated that with the introduction of virtual law firms and upcoming legal tech solutions, there's an urgent need for legal researchers, judges and many law firms to change their traditional organizational model and adopt the digital era of legal practice.
