Mr. Olawale Haruna, Adetu

Haruna Olawale Adetu, born in Imota-Ikorodu Lagos, graduated from the Lagos State College of Education, Ijanikin, for his Nigerian Certificate in Education (1995). he had his Bachelor of Science degree in Economics Education (1999),  Master of Science degree in Economics (2001) and Master of Business Administration (2004) all at the Lagos State University, Ojo,

Mr. Adetu began his career with John Henry & Co. in Lagos in 1989 and a few years later gained full employment with his alma mata, Lagos State University, Ojo as a Clerical Officer. He rose through the ranks to the position of Principal Executive Officer. He, thereafter, joined the services of the Osun State University, Osogbo, as a Senior Assistant Registrar/Pioneer College Secretary in the university’s College of Humanities and Culture. He also served as Senior Assistant Registrar/College Secretary, College of Agriculture; Principal Assistant Registrar/College Secretary, College of Education; Principal Assistant Registrar/Secretary, Postgraduate College; Deputy Registrar/Secretary, Postgraduate College, the post he held till he was appointed the Registrar of the KolaDaisi Uiversity

He has served the Osun State University in various capacities. Some of his university-wide activities include: Secretary, Foundation Degree Management Committee; Secretary, Foundation Degree Programme Board; Secretary, Osun State University Parents Forum; Secretary, University Ceremonial Committee; Secretary, Ikire Campus Investigation on Students’ Crises; Member, Registry Review Panel; Member, Governing Council, Osun State University, Osogbo; Member, University Tender Board; Member, Global Affairs and Sustainable Institute; Co-opted Member, Council Committee on Unions and Labour Relations; Member, Council Committee on Integration of University Account into TSA; Member, University Strategic Plan Group; Member, Needs Assessment Budget and Monitoring Committee; Member, University Ceremonial Committee; Secretary of the Student Affairs Management Committee among others.  

He has also been engaged in both national, state and community assignments, some of which include, Member Protocol Committee, Global Conference of Black Nationalities and Conference of Black Mayors, both organised by the Osun State Government in 2010 and 2011; Member, Lagos State University Alumni Association; Member, Imota Country Club, Lagos among others.

Mr. Adetu has attended several conferences and capacity-building workshops within and outside the country.

Mr. Haruna Olawale Adetu assumed duty as the second substantive Registrar of the University on Tuesday, 04 October, 2022.
