Jendele Hungbo is a Professor of Communication and Media Studies; current Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Management and Social Sciences at KolaDaisi University.

Contributions to knowledge: My research continuously interrogates the use of different media   forms for self-fashioning in Africa. Along this line, the body of my work has addressed the use of radio, social media and other forms of popular media for the purpose of identity            formation and the negotiation of new meanings among different communities, real and      imagined, in Nigeria and South Africa.

Contributions to Community: My research activities continued to factor in community development in many ways with practical community engagements in Nigeria and South    Africa.
